Description:

GlideTours offers a Glide adventure around Dublin's Docklands

This adventure will all take place on a Segway...

The adventure starts at Dublin's magnificent Customs House, which stretches for 114 meters along the quay. Then gliding along to Dublin's IFSC where you will see how ‘The Celtic Tiger' shaped modern Dublin.  At George's Dock you will hear stories of the Crimean War Banquet and King George IV's visit to Dublin, and be told how part of Dublin was once under water and reclaimed from the sea to become what is a very modern Dublin.  Gliding along the riverside with the sea breeze in your faces, you will see some of the old and new architecture of the area and the tour guide will explain some of the hidden stories behind them. You will Glide a short distance away from the riverside into the Grand Canal Dock area. This is where U2 have their Dublin base. Then back onto the river where you will get to see the replica famine ship The Jeanie Johnson before ending the tour at the Famine Memorial and the World Poverty Stone.

The tour lasts around 2 hours which includes time allowed for training, stops for questions and the chance to take tons of photographs.

GlideTours are also available for private bookings, corporate events, sales meetings, conferences or any other team based activities that you might like to discuss.
