Docklands Business Forum

 

Purpose

The Dublin Docklands Business Forum has been in existence, in various forms for a number of years. The existing membership wished to increase this membership. It was agreed that there was a need for such a forum and that it was wise to include as many businesses as possible.

The Dublin Docklands Business Forum promotes collaborative initiatives and strategic planning between member businesses, with a view to encouraging stronger working relationships and maximising economic, social, physical and environmental impact through collective effort.

Objectives 

  • To promote a sharing of relevant resources and expertise;
  • To ensure the Docklands remains economically and socially alive and vibrant after dark; 
  • To promote Corporate Social Responsibility;
  • To build strong positive connections across all Communities in the Docklands;
  • Promote a greater level of awareness/understanding of the issues facing business in the  Docklands;
  • Examine models of economic exchange between local businesses;
  • Lobby for better transport infrastructure;
  • Engage with and seek to inform planning and development in the Docklands;
  • Development of inter-company environmental initiatives in the Docklands;
  • Establish a Docklands Chamber of Commerce or similar structure. ]
