One of the capital's two mainline stations are located within the Docklands area at Connolly Station for rail services to Belfast, Rosslare/Wexford and Sligo. Connolly station also serves DART and suburban train services to Howth and Ballbriggan in the north and Bray and Arklow in the south. Direct bus services link the Docklands with Dublin's other mainline station, Heuston.
Connolly Station and Tara Street Station are within five minutes' walk of the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Docklands. At peak times, the DART runs every 10 minutes. Pearse Street Station and Grand Canal Dock Station service the remainder of South Docklands.
The Docklands is accessible by the city's commuter light rail system, the Luas. Opened on 8th December 2009, Luas Docklands Red Line Extension (Line C1) is the extension of the existing Luas Red Line (Connolly - Tallaght) from Busáras to The Point. Stops are provided at George's Dock, Mayor Square, Spencer Dock and The Point. The new line now links the Luas Red Line between the Busárus and Connolly Stops. Journey time from Busáras Stop to The Point Stop will be approximately 7 minutes.
