This year's Docklands Maritime Festival was a huge success with a record breaking 150,000 people enjoying the sunshine in the heart of Dublin's Docklands over the bank holiday weekend. Held in association with Failte Ireland, this was a superb weekend for young and old!

All tastes were catered for at Dublin's largest outdoor market with over 100 stalls offering cuisine from all over the world from Spanish Paella to Lebanese Kebabs. Forming a focal point for the event was the magnificent fleet of tall ships which took up residence along the quays for the duration. Those wishing to sample life on the ocean wave were able to test their sea legs aboard impressive vessels such as The Lord Nelson and Atlantis as well as our own Jeanie Johnston and Naval Vessel the LE Aoife.

A wide range of musical acts and street performers kept the crowds entertained and the dedicated kids area in George's dock was firm favourite with the festivals smallest attendees! Click here to look at some images from the festival to help relieve your Maritime experience!
